Safeguarding at Cornerstone

At Cornerstone we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff, trustees, and volunteers will be DBS checked before they can work in areas involving children or vulnerable adults and receive regular training in safeguarding and child protection.

We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and will follow procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection, and justice.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about children are discussed with parents/carers first. However, there may be a rare occasion when our concerns about a child may mean we have to consult other agencies even before we contact you. The procedures which we follow are laid down by the Local Children Safeguarding Board.

Please contact us if you would like a copy of our Safeguarding Policy.

If you are worried about a child in our care, you can contact our designated safeguarding lead via telephone on 07850 682 792 or by emailing office@cornerstone-swindon.church

If you are worried about an adult who works or volunteers with children at Cornerstone, please contact our safeguarding lead as above or the MASH team directly.
