About Cornerstone
Cornerstone Church Swindon was launched on Easter Sunday 2015 as a church plant of North Swindon Baptist Church.

North Swindon Baptist Church, itself a plant of the BIAC (now known as Swindon Evangelical Church), was formed in 1998 to witness to and serve the expanding community of North Swindon around Abbey Meads and Priory Vale. It grew from 11 people to over 100 members in 15 years and established firm roots in the community through the provision of Sunday worship services, a toddler group, children's ministry & youth group based at Abbey Meads Community Primary School.
Based on high demand, a second toddler group was started at Oakhurst School in October 2011. Furthermore, in order to meet the needs of the growing population in the vicinity, North Swindon Baptist Church decided to pilot a second Sunday morning service at Isambard Community School in Redhouse in March 2013, moving to Uplands School in November 2014 and Great Western Academy in February 2019. Since March 2020 we have been streaming live via our YouTube channel due to the current COVID restrictions, and in May 2020 we began to meet in person again at our current location, William Morris Primary School. We continue to live stream via our YouTube channel as well.
In late 2014, North Swindon Baptist Church decided that the time was right to establish the Redhouse service as a church in its own right. Around 35 members of North Swindon Baptist Church were therefore sent out to establish Cornerstone Church Swindon, with the aim of reaching out to the growing community of North Swindon in Redhouse, Oakhurst, Tadpole Garden Village and beyond.
We are excited about the opportunities before us to share the love of God with those around us.
